Taglines and Sleeves
Taglines and Sleeves are the soft side of the Amick no-touch tool line — webbing-based control tools that wrap around suspended ropes, chains, or rigging lines to give a worker a safe grip point without direct hand contact. Where the rigid head tools push, pull, and position from a distance, taglines and sleeves work close-in — letting a rigger walk a suspended load along, steer it through a doorway, position it into a fixture, or steady it during the final inches of a lift. Both are manufactured in-house at our Pittsburgh facility.
Taglines are flat webbing bands roughly 2 to 3 feet long that wrap partially around a line and secure with VELCRO closure. Internal reinforcement varies by configuration — some taglines are soft and flexible for general grip applications, while others incorporate PVC or metal stiffening for more rigid, stick-like control. The partial-wrap design lets a worker apply the tagline quickly to an in-use line and remove it just as fast when the work is finished.
Sleeves are cylindrical webbing covers with VELCRO running the full length, designed to wrap completely around a rope, chain, or line and create a fully encircling grip with an integrated handle loop. The full-wrap geometry gives the worker a more secure, controlled hold than a partial-wrap tagline — useful for sustained guidance, pulling a suspended load along a travel path, or any application where the grip needs to stay locked in for longer than a quick positioning task. The webbing construction protects the worker's hands and gloves from contact with the rigging itself.

Type
Webbing-based hands-free control tools with VELCRO closure. Taglines are partial-wrap bands roughly 2 to 3 feet long with varying internal reinforcement. Sleeves are full-wrap cylindrical covers with integrated handle loops. Both manufactured in-house in synthetic webbing. Custom lengths, widths, and reinforcement profiles available.
Applications
Close-quarters load positioning, walking suspended loads along a travel path, guiding loads through doorways or into fixtures, steadying loads during the final inches of a lift, and any rigging task where a worker needs hands-free control of a line already in use. Used across construction, manufacturing, plant maintenance, warehousing, steel mills, oil and gas, power generation, and motorsports operations.
