Rigging Inspection

Amick delivers complete rigging equipment inspections — covering slings, rigging hardware, below-the-hook lifting devices, hoists, and overhead crane components. Our inspection program is built around the requirements of OSHA 1910.184, ASME B30.9, B30.20, B30.26, and B30.10, ensuring your equipment meets the standards that govern every aspect of overhead lifting.

Our B30.20 Below-the-Hook Lifting Device (BTHLD) evaluations are among the most thorough in the industry. Each assessment includes detailed photo documentation, giving you clear, visual evidence of equipment condition and compliance status — not just a pass/fail checkbox.

Amick's inspection team includes five certified inspectors with over 150 years of combined experience, including Level III Rigging Gear Inspectors and Instructors. Our inspectors identify potential issues before they become hazards — helping you prevent unplanned downtime, avoid OSHA citations, and maintain a safe lifting operation.

OSHA and ASME require periodic documented inspections of rigging equipment at least annually, with more frequent inspections for equipment in heavy or severe service. Amick provides both scheduled inspection programs and on-demand evaluations from our Pittsburgh facility and in the field at your location.
