Chains

Chain products are foundational to Amick's business, and our approach to chain fabrication sets us apart. Amick fabricates both welded and mechanical chain sling assemblies at our Pittsburgh facility, using a precision heat treating method that processes individual welds and links rather than batch treating entire assemblies. This prevents unnecessary reprocessing of chain components and allows for unlimited repairs over the lifespan of the sling — maximizing longevity and reducing long-term equipment costs.

Our chain product line spans the full range of industrial needs. For overhead lifting, we fabricate alloy chain slings in Grade 80 and Grade 100 — the only chain grades approved by OSHA and ASME for overhead lifting applications. These alloy slings are available in single through quad-leg configurations with a full selection of hooks, master links, and fittings.

For non-lifting applications — including load securement, towing, tie-down, and general utility — we supply carbon steel chain and welded chain assemblies in standard grades. We also stock a complete range of chain hooks, fittings, and accessories to build or maintain any chain assembly.

Every chain sling that leaves our facility — whether new or repaired — is proof tested to verify strength and performance. Our five certified inspectors bring over 150 years of combined experience to every fabrication, inspection, and repair we perform.
