Slings

Lifting slings are at the core of everything Amick does. Since 1958, we've manufactured, supplied, inspected, and repaired slings for industries across the country — from steel mills and construction sites to power plants and manufacturing facilities.

Amick offers a complete range of sling types to match any load, environment, and application. Our synthetic web slings are available in nylon and polyester across multiple configurations — flat eye, twisted eye, endless, reversed eye, triangle-choker, triangle-triangle, and wide lift basket — all built with a 5:1 design factor. For applications demanding exceptional abrasion resistance, our UltraWeb slings deliver high-performance durability that standard webbing can't match.

Our round sling line includes PolyFlex polyester round slings for standard lifting and Powerflex high-strength Spectra round slings with capacities up to 300,000 lbs for the most demanding heavy lifts.

On the wire rope side, Amick fabricates Press Grip mechanically spliced slings, traditional hand-spliced slings, hand-braided multi-part slings, U-Flex 4 flexible slings, and strand laid and rope laid grommet slings — all with a 5:1 design factor and built from domestic and import wire rope.

For maximum durability and high-temperature performance, our alloy chain slings are available in Grade 80 and Grade 100, with welded and mechanical assemblies in single through quad-leg configurations. We also supply steel mesh slings for foundry, steel mill, and metalworking environments where heat and abrasion would destroy synthetic alternatives.

To extend the life of every sling we sell, Amick offers wear pads and corner protection, web shackles and fittings designed for synthetic slings, multi-leg bridle assemblies, and Load Hugger cargo tie down systems.

Every sling that leaves our Pittsburgh facility is backed by Amick's five certified inspectors with over 150 years of combined experience. We also provide sling inspection, recertification, and repair services — keeping your equipment compliant and performing at peak levels throughout its entire service life.
