Wire Mesh Sling Repair

Amick provides comprehensive wire mesh sling repair services — inspection, repair, and recertification — for clients across the country. Wire mesh slings are one of the few sling types that can be repaired and returned to service, making professional repair a cost-effective alternative to replacement for slings with repairable damage.

Wire mesh slings operate in some of the harshest environments in industrial lifting — foundries, steel mills, and metalworking facilities where heat, abrasion, and rough handling take a heavy toll on equipment. The ability to repair rather than replace these slings delivers significant long-term cost savings for operations that use mesh slings as a daily workhorse.

Our repair services include replacement of damaged mesh sections, end fitting repair and replacement, and complete load testing and recertification after repair. Per ASME B30.9, any single broken wire in a mesh sling body is cause for removal from service and evaluation — but a qualified repair can restore the sling to full rated capacity.

Amick services wire mesh slings from all manufacturers at our Pittsburgh facility. We also provide on-site inspection to identify slings in your inventory that are candidates for repair versus replacement, helping you make informed decisions about your equipment budget.
