Turnbuckles
Turnbuckles are adjustable tensioning devices consisting of a body with a right-hand threaded end fitting on one side and a left-hand threaded end fitting on the other. Rotating the body draws the end fittings together or pushes them apart, providing precise adjustment of tension in wire rope, rod, and other rigging assemblies.
Turnbuckles are used for tensioning guy wires, adjusting rigging lengths, leveling loads, and anywhere precise length adjustment under tension is required. End fittings are available in jaw, eye, and hook configurations to match the connection requirements of the application.
Per ASME B30.26, turnbuckles are classified as adjustable hardware and must be proof tested at a minimum of 2 times their rated load. They must be used in-line only — side loading a turnbuckle can cause the body to bend or the threads to strip.

Type
Adjustable turnbuckles with jaw, eye, and hook end fittings. Forged steel construction. Proof tested at 2x rated load per ASME B30.26.
Applications
Tensioning guy wires, adjusting rigging lengths, leveling loads, bracing, and any application requiring precise, adjustable tension in a rigging assembly. Used in construction, steel erection, marine, utility, and general industrial rigging.
Exceptions
Use turnbuckles in-line only — side loading is not permitted. Do not exceed rated load. Ensure threads are fully engaged in the body — a minimum of one full thread diameter must remain visible at each end when fully extended. Inspect body, threads, and end fittings for cracks, distortion, thread damage, and corrosion before each use. Annual documented inspections required per ASME B30.26.
