Wide Lift Basket Web Slings

Wide Lift Basket Web Slings are specialty slings designed for basket hitch applications where a wide bearing surface is required for load stability and protection of fragile or finished surfaces. The extra-wide body distributes the load across a larger contact area, reducing pressure on the load and providing a stable, secure platform during lifting.

Amick offers wide lift basket slings in both light-duty and heavy-duty sewn constructions. Light-duty basket slings are suited for cargo handling, packaging, and lighter loads where surface protection is the primary concern. Heavy-duty versions are built for industrial loads requiring both wide surface contact and high working load limits.

The wide body design is particularly effective when lifting large, flat, or irregularly shaped loads that would be unstable or at risk of damage with a standard-width sling. The broad surface prevents the sling from cutting into the load or creating concentrated pressure points.

Applications

Basket hitch only. Used for lifting wide, flat, or fragile loads in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, plant maintenance, and construction. Ideal for loads with finished surfaces, delicate materials, or odd shapes that require broad support and stable positioning during a lift.

Exceptions

Designed for basket hitch use only — not for vertical or choker hitches. Same temperature and chemical limitations as all synthetic web slings: not for use above 194°F (90°C) or below -40°F (-40°C). Nylon is susceptible to acids and bleaching agents; polyester is susceptible to strong alkalis. Do not use on loads with sharp edges without proper protection. Remove from service per ASME B30.9 criteria.
