Rigging Hardware: Every Connection, Stocked in Pittsburgh

October 16, 2026
A rigging system is only as strong as its weakest component, and most of the components are small. Amick stocks the full range of rigging hardware from premium manufacturers at the Pittsburgh facility, so the right piece is on the shelf when the lift is ready.

Connecting and Attaching

Forged shackles in anchor and chain patterns, alloy and carbon steel, with screw pin or bolt-nut-cotter closures. Forged alloy rigging hooks in eye, clevis, swivel, sorting, and grab styles, plus replacement latches and latch kits so a worn latch doesn't retire a good hook. For attachment points on the load, Amick stocks forged shoulder eye bolts and eye nuts for in-line work, swivel hoist rings for angled and multi-directional pulls, and welded pad eyes.

Wire Rope Terminations

Thimbles in standard and heavy-duty, and U-bolt and double saddle clips for all standard rope diameters. For permanent terminations, Amick supplies wire rope assemblies with swage and spelter socket ends.

Blocks, Sheaves, and Tensioning

Snatch blocks, standard blocks, and multi-sheave blocks with hook, shackle, or eye mounts. Replacement sheaves for blocks, cranes, and hoists. Turnbuckles with jaw, eye, and hook ends.

Load Binders

Ratchet and lever load binders for cargo securement, matched to chain grade and size. They sit in the hardware category and they are not overhead lifting devices.

Hardware Without the Hands

Hardware is where hands end up during a lift: seating a sling in a hook, pulling a shackle into line, steadying a wire rope eye as it comes onto the pin. Amick's no-touch, hands-free safety tools push, pull, and position slings, chain, and wire rope from outside the connection, so the hardware gets rigged without a hand between the steel. Pair your hardware order with the right head and length no-touch tool, and the whole system comes from one source.

Inspected, Not Just Sold

Rigging hardware requires documented periodic inspection, and Amick's inspectors handle that from the Pittsburgh facility alongside sling and hardware inspection. One source for the hardware, the assemblies built from it, and the paperwork that keeps it in service.
